Private Day Providers
In addition to the Board, there are numbers of private agencies who provide adult day program services in the Portage County area. Goodwill Industries of Akron, Ohio Inc. provide vocational habilitation at locations in Ravenna and Streetsboro. Independence of Portage County operates Paths to Enrichment, Activity, Creativity, and Enterprise (P.E.A.C.E) in Ravenna, providing adult day support and vocational habilitation services. Hiram Farm Living and Learning Community provides adult day support and vocational habilitation services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders in Hiram. United Disability Services of Akron provides adult day support and vocational habilitation at its day program center in Kent. Portage Industries, Inc., located in Ravenna, provides a variety of adult day array services.
Attendance at any of these private day programs is arranged by the individual’s Service and Support Administrator (SSA) and is limited to individuals enrolled on Board-administered IO or Level One waivers. Additional information on these programs may obtained by clicking on the agency’s link.
