Introduction to the PCBDD
The PCBDD has been providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities in Portage County since 1967. Services and supports are provided across the lifespan and are possible through the generous and long standing support of the Board’s levies by the citizens of Portage County. Approximately 77% of the Board’s annual financial resources come from local and state levy-related dollars.
As you navigate through the website, you will find information about eligibility for Board services, the array of services and supports that are available, important information about health and safety, resources, as well as information about the Board itself and agency administrative staff. The mission of the Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities is to ensure the availability of programs, services, and supports that assist eligible individuals with developmental disabilities in choosing and achieving a life of increasing capability such that they can live, work, and socialize in the community, and to assist and support the families of these individuals in achieving this objective.
