In conjunction with National Physical Therapy Month, the therapists at Happy Day School in Franklin Township sponsored an ice cream social for students and staff. Students helped to put together special ice cream treats and snacks. Staff participated in a contest with the winner receiving a jar filled with harvest goodies. Posters depicting the physical therapy staff at work with Happy Day students are displayed at the school.
This year's national theme is "Move Forward. Physical Therapy Brings Motion to Life."
The physical therapy staff work with students and families on activities such as rolling, crawling, and walking.
They help with braces and special equipment for positioning such as wheelchairs. Physical therapy staff help families learn how to help their children with special needs develop to their fullest potential.
Physical therapy staff at Happy Day School in Franklin Township are all employees of Portage Physical Therapists Inc. of Ravenna.
